Relocating to Antioch

I am from a small town in Pennsylvania (2 hours to Erie). I am planning on located with a co-worker to Antioch and I would love anyone's opinions on this place. I've never been anywhere other than PA and I only plan on living in Antioch for a few months until I can get on my feet to move elsewhere in the state. If anyone has any recommendation or advice for me, I would GREATLY appreicate it. Thank you!!

I am also looking in this area for apartments, I am from Cincinnati Ohio. I have had some people tell me it's an awful area and some tell me it's safe. I'm really confused.

I Moved to the area about a year ago also from a small town in Pa. just outside state college. Antioch is a pretty rough place, alot of crime. I wouldn't recommend living in this area if you have other options. There are alot of surrounding areas with resonable rent/real estate that would be more suitable than Antioch.

Hi - I am actually on here because I do fence estimates & I am checking out an area I did an estimate in. Antioch is not that bad. I moved here last year after visiting quite frequently over the past &-ish years. I live in the Cool Springs area, which is a very nice area. I actually have a few rentals there. I have friends in Antioch & it is quite a bit cheaper to live there, but just like anywhere else, it has it's ggod spots & it's bad spots. One thing about the Nashville area is that I have never seen a place grow & refurbish like they are here. I came from IL & watched the urban sprawl with Chicago & the bigger areas, too. But not like here. Dirty? This place is anything but... Hope this helps.

I lived in Antioch for 4 years and it is about 20 minutes to anywhere-downtown, Cool Springs...and like robin said there are good areas and bad just like anywhere. Our area has a lot of older homes that are being bought up and renovated by young families, the trees are all mature, the yards are looked after and people accually walk around and visit...I miss it.

I have moved to TN from Houston TX. I looked at Antioch with my wife and noticed a lot of very old areas and some run down not to safe looking areas. Though there are some apartments that have been recreated as good as new that my wife and I considered. Though we found a great rental deal in Franklin TN within a town home that we really are enjoying, that really pulled us away from the Antioch idea.
